This is a very unique and beautiful Art Deco style bar that was made in England around the year 1940. The bird’s-eye maple veneers are accented with painted black moldings that really define the Art Deco style. With six cabinet areas for storage, you can fit just about everything into this liquor cabinet.
Flanking the top and bottom central cabinets are small cabinets with wooden shelves inside. The upper central cabinet contains a mirrored bottom. A light is present but its wires have been cut and it would need to be replaced with one that works on US circuits. A place for olive spears adorns the inside of the right door (no spears remain). Just below this central cabinet, a slide out shelf makes a great mixing area.
In the lower central cabinet there is plenty of space for tall bottles as well as a fitted drawer that would be ideal for utensils. All of the cabinet doors lock and a key is provided.
Some of the maple has minor crazing which you can see in the pictures. The right top and bottom cabinets have repaired handles. There is some old, inactive and treated wood worm holes on the base. The back side of the piece (which will be against a wall anyways) is rough and has some peeling to it. The bottom left side has minor dings and marks as well. The mirrors have some minor spotting. As you can tell from the images, none of these things really detract from the impressive beauty of this bar. Don’t miss getting your hands on this one of a kind piece today!
