Made from a wonderful selection of walnut wood, this antique Arts and Crafts sideboard is a sturdy and beautiful addition for any dining room. Not only does it provide more than ample storage, it also has a unique and eye-catching look to it.
This sideboard was made sometime around the year 1920 in England. The walnut wood has a lovely, light patina that will continue to grow deeper and more beautiful as it ages. For storage there are four spacious drawers and three cabinet sections. All drawers open and close easily and were constructed with dovetailed drawer joints. The tear drop pierced brass handles on each drawer are not original but look great. The three cabinet doors are each decorated with beautiful carvings that have a very regal look to them. The left cabinet contains two removable wooden shelves. The center cabinet is completely open. The right hand cabinet has one removable wooden shelf. All three doors lock and one key is included.
Being such a heavy and sturdy Arts and Crafts sideboard this piece has withstood the test of time very well. There are a few minor cosmetic issues to mention. The top has a number of light indentations or surface scratches. Various minor stains and marks can also be found on the top. Minor wear marks consistent with age and use are also present throughout. These minor cosmetic issues really lend character to an already beautiful antique sideboard.
The total depth of the piece measures 22.25″ in the middle and 19.5″ on the sides. With an overall height of 37″, this piece could be considered for conversion into a sink base as well.
