Here we have a unique oak cutlery box. These are sometimes also referred to as canteens. This box was made in England sometime around the year 1920. It is an oak cutlery box that sits up on small straight bracket feet. The top opens revealing a cutlery service for six and a drawer pulls out to reveal other miscellaneous flatware. This cutlery is stainless steel, not silver, but could be replaced with a silver set if you desired.
The box itself is in very good condition with only very minor wear marks here and there. There is a lock, but no key. The hinged lid and drawer function easily. The drawer will not pull out while the top lid is shut. The interior fabric is in very good condition. You will notice that the left drawer knob is missing a small piece.
Otherwise this antique cutlery box is a great looking piece that would do well as display or a functional piece to hold flatware.
We ship most items via a free curbside delivery but also offer white glove delivery and custom options (contact us if you have special requirements like this). Smaller items usually ship via UPS.
