Product Description

This classic antique flip top game table is from England and was made sometime around 1890. It is made from a lovely flame mahogany wood and remains in good condition today.

Antique Flip Top Table

The main feature of this table is, of course, the flip top. While closed the top measures 34″ x 16.75″. Simply flip the top open and rotate it ninety degrees and you have a 34″ x 33.5″ table top surface. Because the inside is wood, it can be used as either a game table or a regular side table. If you rotate the top before flipping it, there is a small storage section underneath. This functionality makes this antique table very useful for a variety of applications.
Lovely flame mahogany wood was used to create this antique flip top game table and it is prominent on the table top. Over the years the mahogany has developed a lovely patina. The color and grain on the table are quite stunning.
Just as notable is the gorgeous pedestal base. It is a lyre inspired pedestal on platform base. Also, each leg is a scrolled foot ending in a caster. The original furniture maker obviously had a great deal of skill and put a large amount of effort into making this a functional and gorgeous piece of furniture.

We have rated this table as good condition. The top has sustained some scratches and indents which we have taken photos of. Some of these marks can be found inside as well. The feet have small veneer chips as well as a few on the base area. Finally, the back left corner has a small piece of replaced molding. It is a sturdy table that is strong enough for everyday use. Don’t miss your chance to own this wonderful antique flip top table today!
