Product Description

This antique game table is one of the most “one of a kind” pieces we have ever had! We think it’s original function was as a Bridge table, but it could be used for any card or board game.

Game Features

Starting with the functional features of this piece, we have the felt top. A perfect circle of green felt provides the ideal card playing surface. Each of the four sides has a small card drawer for storage. Also on each side are two small circular holders that were used to hold drinks or ashtrays. (The piece does not have a smoke odor to it).
Definitely the most interesting and unique feature are the counters. Each corner has a small counter inlaid in it. There are two control arms that turn the score arrows. Each control arm turns two dials simultaneously. The dials are marked with the company name J.W.&M. Jarvis in London.

Antique Game Table Decorative Features

In addition to the very cool game features, this table is quite beautiful and would make a handsome addition to any room. The wood is mahogany which has a stunning patina. The curvaceous shape compliments the turned legs which have fluted details.

Condition

Crafted sometime around 1940, this antique game table remains in very good condition today. One of the handles used to turn the dials is broken, but can still be turned via the metal rod. The wood near both handles has been damaged. Other than that and the minor marks associated with age, this piece is in great shape. It is sturdy and ready for daily use.
The knee hole area on all sides measures 21.25″ wide x 24.25″ tall. This is a one of a kind antique, don’t miss it!
