This beautiful hand carved oak coffer was made in England during the Georgian period, around 1800. The stunning floral carved panels and fluted roman columns give this trunk an elegant air which is balanced by the rustic oak wood which displays the character of its age. This coffer has multiple minor cosmetic repairs, age splits, and dings throughout as you would expect from a piece made in 1800. These cosmetic issues are actually quite charming on this piece and do not impede its function. The lid still opens and closes smoothly. There is not a key for this trunk, although the lock appears to be functional. We have included as many pictures as we could of this lovely piece so you can get an accurate idea of its condition and beauty, enjoy!
