Antique hall trees like this one are a staple of many homes. They are the first piece you see when you walk in the door and the last one you see when you leave so it is important that you pick one that looks as beautiful as this piece does. This hall stand provides all of the function you need for your front door or mud room and looks great as well!
Antique Hall Tree Wood
Made of gorgeous oak, this antique hall tree was crafted sometime around the year 1940. The oak is strong and sturdy and has a beautiful, light color that will warm your entryway. Subtle hand carvings can be found at the top providing detail without being gaudy. It also has all of the key elements for an entryway piece. There are six hooks for hats and coats, a drawer for gloves or keys, and a mirror for that last minute inspection before you head out the door. Also, the seat makes a great place to put on shoes. The seat lid even lifts up revealing a great storage area!
Overall this is a sturdy and beautiful piece of furniture. Being over almost 100 years old it does have some minor surface wear in the form of tiny marks, dents, and dings throughout. The two styles of hooks are not exact matches and we would guess the bottom set is not original. The mirror has moderate spotting. Also, the piece appears to have been painted at one point. Thankfully, it has since been stripped down and refinished nicely. The left arm has dark stain to it, and there are some small marks around the nails in it. Finally, a small age separation has occurred near the bottom left corner of the top section. This is purely cosmetic.
This is a lovely antique hall tree that would enhance the entryway of any home. Don’t miss your chance to add it to your family’s collection today!
