This set of antique library steps converts to a coffee table! What an unusual piece! Sturdy and well made, these stairs will make your library, study, or office complete.
Leather and Wood
These steps were made in England around 1960. Mahogany wood makes up the piece and green leather provides an elegant contrast. Also, gold tooling on the leather adds beauty and sophistication to these antique library steps. In stair form, each stair is leather covered, while in coffee table form the top is as well.
Brass casters cap the front two legs making it easier to lift the back and roll the piece into position for either stair or table use. Changing to either is as simple as lifting or lowering half of the table.
Antique Library Steps Condition
Other than a few very minor wear marks here and there, these steps remain in excellent condition! Overall, the leather shoes some slight variations in color, which may be original or a product of age. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind antique library steps!
The coffee table is 17.75″ tall and as steps 28.5″ tall.
