This elegant antique mahogany corner cabinet was crafted in England about 1960. Ideal for displaying attractive items while also offering concealed storage below, it would make a fine addition in the dining room or office.
A fine mahogany corner cabinet
Every feature of this vintage cabinet speaks of the highest quality in English furniture. Traditional dentil molding adorns the cornice, while the upper door is made of astragal glass; each pane is individual. The lower door features a lovely selection of mahogany, which displays a rich complexion and a striking grain. A patina has also developed in the mahogany, enriching the natural beauty of the wood! Meanwhile, shaped bracket feet provide sturdy support, and each shelf is fixed and sturdy to support even the heaviest items.
As sturdy as it is beautiful, this lovely mahogany corner cabinet remains in excellent overall condition. Like most cabinets from around the same period, it has sustained some minor scuff marks on the center and bottom moldings. Such light, cosmetic wear is normal and enhances the charming character of this cabinet, making it a wonderful addition to any antique furniture collection. As you can see in the pictures, the bottom door also exhibits some minor crazing.
