Product Description

Here we have a beautiful antique small display cabinet from France. Fashioned of lovely stripped oak wood, it provides a wonderful place to show off collectibles or dishes. Also, the rustic style fits well with many of today’s popular decorating styles!

Carved Accents

Done in a French Renaissance style, this cabinet features carved oak accents. Beveled glass sides and a chicken wire door allow perfect viewing of the interior. An upholstered interior provides a great background for lighter pieces to really stand out. Finally, the three drawers at the bottom operate with brass handles that add a subtle contrast. They blend together and provide a beautiful decorative touch to this antique small display cabinet.
Some of the functional features of this piece include a locking door with key. However, the key does not remove when the door is locked, so it only functions to keep the door closed, not secured against entry. Also, a single stationary shelf provides the display space and has a shelf depth of 10″. The shelf is not particularly thick or strong, and would not hold extremely heavy items. Being glass, both the sides and front provide views of your display items inside.

Antique Small Display Cabinet Condition

Overall, this piece remains in good condition having been built around 1900. Minor wear marks can be found here and there. The interior upholstery is worn in spots. Also, the molding between the lower right glass panel and the door was broken and repaired. A small patch can be found on the top right corner of the door. Also, the top right front corner has some minor finish wear and a small chip. Finally, the top board is not original to the piece, but matches very well. The door operates on a sliding hinge and can be a little fickle. This antique small display cabinet remains sturdy. This is a worthwhile and beautiful piece to have in any home!
