This antique waterfall bookcase derives its name from the graduating shelves that start off narrow at the top and get deeper as they go down. It provides an elegant way to display pictures, books, or collectibles in any room of your home! This particular piece also has two drawers at the bottom for a little hidden storage.
Originally made in England sometime around the year 1960, this bookshelf is made from mahogany wood. The wood has been finished a very dark brown and is quite attractive as you can see! Two antiqued brass swan neck handles on the drawers fit with this look perfectly. At the very top the shelf depth is 6″ and each shelf gets progressively more deep until you reach the bottom shelf which is 14.5″ deep. The sides of this antique waterfall bookcase are nicely shaped which adds further interest to the piece! A complimenting shaped top completes the look and sturdy bracket feet support the bottom allowing you to fill the piece up with heavy bookcase or picture frames.
Antique Waterfall Bookcase Condition
We have rated this bookshelf in good condition. It has some minor wear marks around the feet and some scuffs on one drawer. The bottom left corner of the molding is also damaged and we have included a picture of this. There are a few very light marks here and there on the shelves as well, but they aren’t very noticeable unless you get really close. The two drawers at the bottom open and close very smoothly. The rest of this antique waterfall bookcase is quite strong and sturdy. It has a wonderful and beautiful overall look that is sure to be attractive in any setting!
