This elegant bow front corner cabinet was crafted in England around the year 1960. Today it remains as lovely as ever, with rich mahogany, bracket feet, and beautifully adorned locking doors.
Classic bow front corner cabinet design
The bow front corner cabinet is such a lovely design that it has changed very little over the centuries since it first became popular during the Georgian period. Antique style dentil molding adorns the top, while the individually paned glass on the top door contrasts beautifully with the flame mahogany oval on the bottom. This top door also offers a nice view into the interior, making this corner cabinet suitable for displaying dishes, books, or other items around the dining room or office. Shaped bracket feet provide sturdy support, while both sets of doors lock with an accompanying skeleton key. Meanwhile, all three shelves are removable so customizing your storage space in this bow front corner cabinet is a breeze!
Good overall condition
Like most English furniture pieces, this cabinet benefits not only from a lovely design but also from sturdy construction. Structurally nothing has changed for this cabinet. Cosmetically, it has sustained some wear marks and scuffs on the feet, bottom molding, and molding between the top and bottom doors. The bottom door has some light fading/crazing we sometimes see in mahogany pieces. Indeed, very few bow front corner cabinets are as lovely as this one, which would make a wonderful addition to any antique furniture collection.
