Capturing the essence of the style is this Duncan Phyfe dining table in mahogany. Clean lines and a traditional look are what make this piece special and able to be mixed with a variety of other looks. This means you can use this table even if you decide to change your decor later on!
This piece was made in England around the year 1960, making it a wonderful piece of vintage furniture. The wood used is a stunning straight grained mahogany with a warm color and rich complexion. Because it was finished with a hand rubbed wax finish it has a satin sheen that is rich like a true antique finish should be. Finally, accenting the shape of the top is a mahogany cross band.
Excitingly, the top features a self storing leaf! Closed, the top measures 61.5″ long. Once you fold out the self storing leaf, the total length becomes 83″.
The pedestals themselves are also quite attractive. They are both turned in the simple Duncan Phyfe style. Also, each has two splayed legs that end in antiqued brass caps and casters for a marvelously classic look. Finally the two are connected with a stretcher (they do not separate).
