The English pub table is an iconic piece of furniture that is widely recognized and even more widely used. The antique pub table shown here is an exemplary example of all the characteristics that make these types of tables so popular.
Barley Twist Pub Table
Elegant barley twist legs are one of the more prominent features of the nicer pub tables. This table features barley twist legs which provide sturdy support. No stretcher between the legs means nothing to impede your chairs!
Draw leaves are another useful feature in antique pub tables. The leaves on this table easily slide out from underneath the top. Using the leaves increases the size of the table from 36″ x 36″ to 60″ x 36″. You can also use just one of the leaves if needed.
Oak Pub Table
The wood used to make this illustrious pub table is stunning oak. The oak is heavy and sturdy. It has a medium to dark brown color to it which looks great. The richness of the oak and the visual appeal of its grain make this one of the nicest pub tables we have had.
We are giving this table a very good condition rating. It is a sturdy table and the leaves work really well. It has survived the years with remarkably little wear (just the normal minor marks and scuffs you’d expect). On one corner the leaf sticks out beyond the table top when closed (a picture is included of this). The table will function solidly as a kitchen table, dining room table, or game table in any home. Originally this antique pub table was made in England and dates back to around 1950. It would make a wonderful addition to any home!
The height from the floor to the bottom of the apron is 23″.
