This lovely mahogany corner cabinet was crafted in England around the year 1940. Designed to display china or other goods in a secure and out of the way fashion, it fits snugly in any corner. The mahogany has developed a rich patina, which brings out the natural beauty of the wood; indeed, the wood boasts a beautiful complexion and a striking grain.
Large Glass Door
Perhaps the most attractive feature of this mahogany corner cabinet, the large glass door provides a clear view of the inside. The wooden fretwork divides individual panes of glass, rather than being applied to a large sheet of glass. This high quality way of making a decorative glass door provides proof of the cabinet’s quality. Also, the door does lock and comes with a key.
Just above the door an applied scroll-work decoration keeps the piece from appearing too plain. The pattern it creates is reminiscent of waves.
Overall, this corner cabinet remains in excellent condition. There is very little wear present. Each wooden shelf remains sturdy and strong. Finally, and very importantly, you must mount this piece to a wall. A screw hole is present inside the top right side to accommodate the mounting. The reason for mounting is the fact that the front door is so heavy, when it is opened, it has a tendency to tip the piece forward.
With its beautiful glass door, this mahogany corner cabinet will make a stunning addition to any home!
