This unusual little piece is a set of collectors or specimen drawers that was probably used to store different types of tea or medicines. I believe the original carcass to be from around 1890 and the drawers seem to have been refurbished sometime around 1960 or so. The wood is mahogany and this little box was made in England. The eight drawers have hand cut dovetails and feature a small, brass knob pull. The box sits on four short round feet. The original frame is quite rustic with many marks throughout (see pictures) but I do not feel like they detract from the piece. This is an unusual set of drawers that could be used in a wide variety of ways, don’t miss out!
