Product Description

Dinner for 10+ is ready! This long antique dining room table is just over eight and a half feet in length and has two removable leaves. It is an English piece made there sometime around the year 1960 out of fabulous mahogany wood. To further enhance the natural beauty of the mahogany, a satinwood band was inlaid around the perimeter of the table top. The result is a definite border that provides a wonderful contrast to the rest of the table.

Long Antique Dining Room Table

When we say this table is long, we aren’t kidding! At 104″ long and 39″ wide it has a pleasant shape to it. The two leaves are each 20″ long which allows for plenty of choices for how long you have the table. With no leaves in, the table measures 64″ long, and with one it measures 84″. The leaves are supported by two wooden beams that run the length of the table. These beams are removed and stored elsewhere when all the leaves are removed. Two Duncan Phyfe style three leg pedestal bases support the entire table. They are sturdy, strong, and look great! At the end of each foot is a brass claw foot and caster.

This long antique dining room table is in very good condition. The only issue is an old age separation in each of the top sections. This is a common occurrence with solid wood pieces. One section has only a tiny separation about 6″ long, while the other is longer, about 25″. Both appear to have been well repaired and are not very noticeable. We have included a close up of the longer one. The pedestals and top both exhibit dings and minor marks here and there. The top appears to have been lightly distressed when made, giving it plenty of beautiful character. Being both beautiful and sturdy, this piece would make a wonderful addition to any dining room!
The distance from the floor to the bottom of the apron measures 26.5″.
