This exquisite mahogany bow front chest of drawers was made in England during the mid-twentieth century, circa 1940. It exudes a multitude of character and charm that is sure to enhance the room around it. Also, and importantly, the drawers open and close easily!
This is a wonderful example of furniture artistry and craftsmanship from the bow front shape to the splayed bracket feet. Of the four drawers the top is the most shallow and the other three are deeper. The all-brass plate back handles wonderfully accent these beautiful drawers. Both the top and drawer fronts are rich flame mahogany. The deep luster of the mahogany is extremely eye catching. Also, a rosewood inlaid banding provides a wonderful contrast detail to the drawers and top.
Structurally, this mahogany bow front chest of drawers is in excellent condition. Cosmetically, the piece has survived the years with very little wear! There are a few small minor wear marks here and there. Also, the back right foot has a small repair to the bottom edge of it, only noticeable upon close inspection. The result is a phenomenal antique dresser that will last your family for many years to come!
