While out shopping for stunning English furniture, this little demi lune hall table caught our eye. Beautifully done in mahogany with satinwood inlays, it boasts a classical elegance. This side table is a handy size (only 13.75″ deep in the middle!) that will fit just about anywhere! This piece was made sometime around the year 1960.
Demi Lune Hall Table
The term “demi lune” is a common term that means half moon. Obviously, this refers to the shape of the top. Four tapered legs end in well proportioned spade feet. This provides a sturdiness that far exceeds your expectations for such a small table.
Mahogany is the wood used and it was finished a medium brown color. Georgian style fan inlays decorated the apron and top. This classic and traditional look will fit in with almost any decorating scheme. Also, the gorgeous combination of woods provides an elegance that adds to all types of decor.
Overall, this piece remains in excellent condition. The only marks consist of a few tiny dings to the front edge on the satinwood banding. Also, some minor discoloration around the feet exists. Otherwise, this demi lune piece remains in immaculate condition with stunning elegance. This demi lune hall table remains sturdy and is ready to be used in your home right away.
