If you are looking for something different and unique, then this painted side table with lion head carvings is definitely for you! Full of character and charm it will be noticed by everyone who visits. The color is an off-white (not as white as the pictures show) with brown shading in the recesses. It was made sometime around 1960 and has recently been re-painted. You will notice (especially on the top) areas of distressing which add to the charm of the side table. Most impressive of all are the legs which have regal lion heads, flora carvings, and end in carved feet. In between each of the three legs, on the apron is a small round carving adding a little more interest to the apron without being too much. There is a small shelf between the three legs at the bottom which provides excellent support. Finally the top has been distressed with marks giving it a more aged feel.
The overall condition of this painted side table is excellent. The distressed marks are intentional and it is a heavy and sturdy piece. It would support the heaviest of lamps. The diameter of the top is 21″. The legs stick out beyond the top, so the diameter of the area the piece takes up is 23.5″.
