Hand made from a beautiful cherry wood, this English writing table desk is the work of a master craftsman in England. Not only is this desk very sturdy, but it is also quite beautiful.
Classic writing table style
Newly made, every aspect of this desk was made using Old World techniques. The drawers are joined with hand cut dovetails and the finish is a gorgeous hand rubbed, wax finish. The cherry wood is warm, inviting and accented nicely with satinwood inlays around the top and drawer fronts. Each drawer features a solid brass swan neck pull which contrasts with the cherry wood very nicely. In fact, the design is so imminently classic that it is no surprise that it dates back to Georgian period England. Such is the enduring quality of handmade English furniture that such designs have lasted for centuries–and they remain just as appealing today as when they were first invented by Old World cabinetmakers.
Modern office functionality
The middle drawer front can fold down to convert the drawer to a keyboard drawer. All three drawers lock with included key. This writing table desk stands quite sturdily on four pad feet and has a large green leather writing surface. The green leather has a gold tooled border adding yet another Old World aspect to this desk. The leather also makes an excellent writing surface, far superior to wood, metal, or glass. Finally the open design of this writing table allows for a great deal of leg room, while the broad surface area provides an expansive workspace that is well-suited to both the office professional and to clients or visitors on the other side. Perfect for any office or home office, don’t miss this amazing desk!
