This stunning reproduction breakfront bookcase was recently hand crafted in England by a third generation furniture maker. He uses Old World methods and the result is a breath-taking piece of furniture that will last for generations. The burled walnut has an intricate and beautiful grain which has been stained a honey color and finished with several hand rubbed coats of wax. Each of the fifteen shelves in this large bookcase are adjustable by means of an alligator bracket system. The shelves are very thick and will not sag under the weight of heavy books. The bottom features locking cabinet doors and each section houses one removable shelf. The cabinet doors display a remarkable burled walnut grain and are what, in my opinion, make this bookcase so eye-catching. The bookcase does disassemble into three pieces (middle and two sides) for easier transporting. Because of its height (109″) please be sure it will make the journey to the space you have for it fitting into any elevators, up any stairs, and around any corners. This is a hand crafted masterpiece that will be the centerpiece of any room for generations! The shelf depth in the middle section is 13.25″ and the sides are 11.25″. The middle section is approximately 44″ wide and each side section is 21.5″ wide including the crown moulding at the top.
