Combining attractive, aged leather and sturdy construction, this Chesterfield style red leather love seat is a stunning piece of English furniture. It would serve any home or office well.
Red Leather Love Seat
This love seat was made in the Chesterfield style. The Chesterfield style is characterized by the rolled arms and back, buttoned leather, and the fact that the back and arm rests are the same height. We find this look to be highly sought after for both homes and offices. This particular red leather love seat was originally made in England around 1980.
Before we imported this red leather love seat from England to our store, it was refurbished by an expert leather worker in England. He recolors the leather using the same techniques that were originally used to dye the hides to bring back their original color and luster. He also takes the cushions and re-stuffs them. This gives you a “broken in” sofa that has a like new color and comfort level. Truly the red leather is deeply beautiful!
Excellent Condition and Comfort
The leather is in very good condition. It has the soft appearance you look for in older leather and the strength of new leather. The frame is very sturdy. There are four mahogany bun feet underneath which are also quite strong and in very good shape. The two cushions of this red leather love seat lift out for easy cleaning like on most sofas. On the back corner there is a small area of small marks to the leather which we have included a picture of.
Love seats such as this make excellent additions to both smaller and larger rooms. A love seat is perfect for that office which is slightly too small for a full size sofa. If you have a large room, this red leather love seat would be perfect to complement another sofa and add comfortable seating to that room. The seating area of this loveseat measures 39.5″ wide x 22″ deep and the seat is 18″ tall.
