This vintage satin banded dining room table is a two pedestal table with one leaf. It measures 99″ long with the leaf in, perfect for seating ten people. The leaf is 21″ long making the table 78″ long without it. Satinwood and ebony have been inlaid around the edge giving the mahogany wood a wonderful contrast. Both turned pedestals are sturdy and all of the legs have some fluting and end in brass caps and casters.
This table was originally made in England around 1940. We are adding it as part of our online “Scratch and Dent” sale. It is overall a sturdy table and has a great look to it. There are minor wear marks to the feet and legs as you would expect. The top has sustained four minor age separations. One of them is in the knot of the wood. We see this sometimes with solid wood pieces where it comes from a place of higher humidity like England to the US and dries out in our forced air heat leaving separations in the wood. They have been touch up and now provide some character to the table. We have included a deep discount on the price in consideration of this.
The tops and pedestals do separate for shipping.
We ship most items via a free curbside delivery but also offer white glove delivery and custom options (contact us if you have special requirements like this). Smaller items usually ship via UPS.
