Here we have a unique set of six vintage dining chairs that were made of oak wood. They were constructed in a unique Biedermeier style sometime around the year 1940. Today the remain gorgeous and ready to be used in your kitchen or dining room.
Vintage Dining Chairs in Oak
The oak wood has a medium brown color which is good for mixing with other woods and easy to find in other antique style furniture. The front and back legs of each of the six dining chairs was expertly sabre shaped. This traditional style mixes with the brass accents on the back rests to exemplify the Biedermeier style. The back rests have carved decorations in a unique central slat. All of these little details add touches of elegance and keep them from being just plain chairs.
All of the seats feature upholstered seats. The height from the floor to the top of the seat is 19.25″.
We are rating these vintage dining chairs in good condition. Structurally each piece is sturdy enough to be used. Each chair exhibits minor wear marks here and there throughout the frames, backs, and legs. One chair has a broken and missing piece the center carving (see pictures). Also, minor finish wear exists on each chair as you’d expect from something of this age. Finally, the upholstery remains undamaged but dirty and needs a deep cleaning or recovering. Overall this is a great little set of six chairs that would be great in a kitchen, breakfast nook, or small dining area.
