Product Description

Done in a stunning oxblood colored leather, this wing back arm chair would be a comfortable and beautiful addition to your home or office. English wing back arm chairs like this are a classic and elegant look for any room.

Queen Anne Style Leather Chair

Because of the curved legs and flat feet of this chair, it is also known as a Queen Anne style arm chair. The curves of the legs compliment the curves of the wing backs and arm rests. Brass brads running up the arm rests and wings help tie everything together with the leather.
Originally, wing backs were made because houses were drafty. The wings helped keep the draft off you while you sat in front of the fire place to stay warm in the evenings. We still embrace the design today because of how attractive it is, even if the functionality is no longer necessary.

Oxblood Leather

The oxblood (red) leather was recently refurbished in England by an experienced upholsterer to bring back its natural color and luster. The seat cushion was also re-stuffed for maximum comfort when sitting. The deep buttons on the back rest are all still tight.
This chair was made in England sometime around 1980. It remains in very good condition today. There are a very few minor scuffs here and there and the left arm has a very small nick on it. The mahogany legs have minor surface wear The wing back chair is sturdy and strong and will last for many years to come. It is also clean and ready to be used immediately.
The seating area measures 19.5″ wide x 19″ deep and the seat is 19.25″ from the floor. The arm rests are 23″ from the floor.
