Hailing from England where it was made around the year 1960, this yew corner cabinet would grace the corner of any home with style and elegance. It was made with quality and care and displays a rich grain and attractive color today.
Both the upper and lower cabinet doors lock with an included key. The top contains two removable wooden shelves and the bottom contains one shelf. The glass door is expertly glazed in the traditional astragal pattern the English are famous for. A dentil moulded cornice and shaped bracket feet finish the piece off nicely.
Yew wood is an unusual wood that is native to the British Isles. It has a lighter, honey color and contains bird’s eyes in the grain much like maple.
