This exquisite yew wood side table was crafted in England around the year 1960. The yew looks fantastic, with a rich complexion and grain that contrast beautifully with the small antiqued brass ring pulls. Darker yew cross banding decorates the top, while a lovely set of brass panther feet with casters finish off the fluted legs. The legs are likewise bound together in an elegant lyre design, making this table attractive from any angle. When the leaves are opened, they add 10″ to the total width of the table, making it as flexible as it is beautiful; what’s more, a single drawer adds convenient storage space.
The wood has sustained some minor wear marks, but these are only to be expected of a piece of this age, and they add genuine character to an already wonderful piece. You will see a sampling in the pictures of the small marks and scratches on the top. The legs and drawers remain in excellent shape. Overall this drop leaf side table remains in very good condition and would make a fine addition to any furniture collection.
The width of the top measures 19″ when the leaves are down and 29″ with both leaves up.
